What drives me
I’m passionate about Computer Sciences and Technologies since, as a teenager, I discovered the field with personal computers from the early eighties.
Among all topics of IT, my main centers of interests are
- Distributed computing: when a single computer is not enough to run complex software architectures.
- Infrastructure management: automating software deployment & configuration, resilience and load scalability.
- DEVOPS principles are, for me, part of the domain
I share interest with my spouse on the use of Computer Sciences in Education, from Learning Management systems to first steps in programming.
As a hobbyist, I tinker in Vintage Computing, from repairing old hardware to reviving systems with emulators.
I’m also a Maker in Internet of Things (IoT), finding creative new uses of Small Board Computers and microcontrollers.
Finally, I’m continuously using and administrating Linux systems since september 1992 (but I quit 35-floppy-disks-based installation very quickly).
